HOW DO I SIGN UP? |
 Calvary Baptist
Church is launching our second season of
Upward Basketball for boys and girls in K(5) through 5th grade. This
year, Calvary will be adding Upward Cheerleading to our ministry.
Designed to introduce children, their families and friends to Jesus
Christ, this ministry promotes salvation, sportsmanship and self-esteem
in every child. With Upward Basketball and Upward Cheerleading, every
child is a winner! Each child gets the same amount of playing time and
has the opportunity to be on the starting team. Early registration to
participate in the Upward league begins on January 2, 2010 and ends on
January 31, 2010. Player/Cheerleader evaluations start on February 1,
2010 and are used to help us evenly assign players on all teams.
Practices begin the week of March 1, 2010 and the first game is on March
27, 2010. In partnership with Upward Unlimited, Calvary’s goal is to
share the gospel with children and their families regardless of race,
economic or social status. As part of our core values, we are winning

INFORMATION: |
| The early registration cost per child for
basketball and cheerleading is $80; after January 31, the cost
is $90. Deadline for registration is February 6. Basketball
shorts are included in the registration cost. Cheerleading mock
turtlenecks are included in the registration cost. |

| EVALUATIONS AND
ORIENTATIONS: |
Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation or
cheerleading orientation. Evaluations are at the Calvary Baptist
Church Family Life Center. Siblings may all come on the same day
for evaluation!
K-5 and 1st Grade Boys/Girls Monday, February 1, between 6:00
p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 2nd and 3rd Grade Boys/Girls Tuesday,
February 2, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 4th and 5th Grade
Boys/Girls Thursday, February 4, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
FINAL EVALUATION DAY Saturday, February 6, between 9:00 a.m. and
12:00 p.m. |
