enJOY Ministries is designed to reach women from ages 13-113
through Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and outreach. We
believe God wants us to have a full relationship with Him. We
want our ladies to experience Jesus Christ in their daily lives
fully trusting Him. We want to point each one in the direction
of God in every part of their lives.

| enJOY a devotion |
You Are Here
My husband, David, and I have just worked out at our
neighborhood YMCA, and I am waiting for him near the men’s
dressing room. I have no less than a jillion things to do before
the day is over, and the thought of the long day ahead fills my
insides with a familiar panic. I pace up and down the hall, and
when I look up, I find myself staring at a sign posted on the
wall. “You are here,” it says. A red arrow points to a certain
location marked with an X on the building’s blueprint.
I am still standing there looking at the sign when David
comes. “This is crazy,” I say to him, “but I feel so reassured
knowing exactly where I am in this busy day.” David laughs, puts
his arm around my shoulder and off we go.
Later, I am working at my computer when the buzzer on the
dryer sounds. On my way to remove David’s shirts, I smell the
chicken dish cooking in the kitchen and change my direction to
check on it. Passing the dining room, I notice that I haven’t
yet set the table for tonight’s guests. A moment of cold fear
falls over me. Can I really handle all of this? Then I remember
the sign. “You are here.” I remind myself as I open the oven
door. The casserole is fine.
After I have the shirts on hangers, I return to my desk and
jot down all the things I need to accomplish before the day
ends, numbering them by priority. “You are here,” I say out loud
as I draw a red arrow to number one on the blueprint of my day.
Realizing that today actually can be managed, one task at a
time, I stop and smile. “I am here,” I say to God, “and You are
here. Let’s turn this into a good, productive day together.” And
we do!
